New blogger.

Hello everyone.

I am Sarge133 or you can call me John. This is my first blog and well don't eat me alive too badly if this goes bad. I am a current college student in a local community college. I am pursuing an degree in General Studies. This is all because of a deal with my parents and my future. You see from the time I was 14 I knew I was going to join the U.S. Army. This scares my parents with the whole war and what I want to do in the Army. I am going to enlist as an Infantryman for two to four years then I will go to Military Police for a few years and finally a Combat Engineer. I know you may be thinking I am sucidal because of my wanting to be on the front lines, but I grew up in a family of paratroopers. My grandfather was one of the 82nd Airborne in Normandy on D-Day. My uncle was in the 82nd in Operation: Desert Storm and was the first US Army Soldier to invade Iraq. He was the passenger of a Humvee as convoy security. He spent a year in Iraq before coming home and handing me the American Flag that flew on that humvee. He retired from the Army in 2006 with 28 years in the Army. Now I know his son will not join so I have a feeling that it's my duty to enlist and volunteer for the US Airborne. I also have a great urge to do so. It is been my dream for year to be a US Army Soldier.

This has caused alot of talk among my friends who are very Pro-USMC and pretty much like to talk badly about anything they can on the US Army. One of my closest friends Andrew just left in early January for his MOS School. He want to be a tank driver for the Corps. Luckliy though he is very modest about his being a Marine. Unlike Tony who isn't even a Marine, and talks as though he worships them. So basically I have a slight Anti-USMC syndrome going on. I can tell Tony gets his worship of the Corps from him worshipping his brother who is a Marine that was injured by a RPG blast against his humvee.

Anyways, I am also an avid airsofter. I love the sport and those within the sport. I am currently using a US Army Infantry loadout. I am selling my HK416 for an M4A1 to better replicate this. I also plan to start using a Personal Military Contractor (PMC) loadout. Which is basically a pair of kiaki pants, boots, black polo shirt, baseball cap, sunglasses and gloves. Over that I plan to wear my ALICE gear. Which is basically all the magazine pouches on a belt hooked to suspenders.

So, that is a quick intro into my life. I love the military, but I am starting to hate the USMC influence around me. I have no problem with the USMC, infact I am proud that I have a step-brother and a good friend who are Marines. But I am a Soldier, not a Marine. I cannot see myself as a Marine.

Next time? We are going to start discussing USMC vs US Army camoflauge. For those of you who are airsofters this will be a MARPAT vs ACU discussion. Also I will be doing an Colt M4 vs FN SCAR discussion to cover my dosage of firearms. Thanks for reading and feel free to leave comments or send me emails at: jedeklein@hotmail.com
